Hand-built stoneware with hand-dyed silk woven on a backstrap loom using natural dyes from cochineal and kihada, combined with hemp rope and wool.
Since 2023, the artist has been developing Interweaving Fiber and Clay, a project that unites hand-built ceramic vessels with backstrap-woven, naturally dyed fibers to expand the expressive potential of both materials. Rooted in her Japanese heritage, the series reflects themes of guardianship, protection, and resilience.
